Antioxidant function is not a disease-prevention promise

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble nutrient involved in cellular antioxidant protection and normal immune function. Nuts, seeds and vegetable oils are food sources. Deficiency is uncommon in otherwise healthy people, so a high-strength supplement needs a specific rationale rather than an assumption that antioxidant activity always improves health.

Read the evidence limits and sources

Large trials do not support taking vitamin E routinely to prevent heart disease or cancer. Different forms and units can make labels hard to compare. Evidence about the nutrient’s biological role does not prove a clinical benefit from this exact product.
